George Washington Graham Jr., age 91, of Springdale, Ark. passed away, Friday, March 10, 2017, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. He was born on Aug. 29, 1925 in Springdale, Ark. He is preceded in death by his father, George W. Graham Sr.; his mother, Zella (Harp) Graham; and his step-mother, Helen (Cude) Graham. He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Louise Knipe, Barbara Harmon, Ted Graham and Reta Mae Hayes. George was proud to have served in the United States Army during World War II in the Asiatic Pacific and retired as an Arkansas Veterans Service Officer as well as a farmer. He loved traveling around this great country with his wife and spent most of his life doing so. He was a lifelong member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Springdale. One of the accomplishments he was most proud of was his relationship with his wife, Darlene, in which they have spent 69 wonderful years together. He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Hill) Graham; two sons, Tim Graham (wife Beverly) and Mike Graham (Germana Ivaldi) all of Springdale. He is also blessed to have three grandchildren, Timmy Graham, (wife Jessica), Dusty Graham (wife Veronica), and Brandi Graham; along with seven great-grandchildren, Knox, Rowan, Rigley, Grayre, Jasper, Hyde and Vada. The family would like to thank all of his friends who have prayed and cared for him over the last few years. They would also like to thank Springdale Health and Rehabilitation and Circle of Life Hospice for the wonderful support and care given to him during his last days. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. A celebration of George's life will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mickey Merrick officiating.
