Karl Lee Phillips

Karl Lee Phillips, age 77, passed away at his home on Sunday, March 12, 2017. He was born on January 10, 1940, in Pasadena, Texas, to Lee T. and Margie Elizabeth Sullivan Phillips. He is preceded in death by his parents. Karl was a retired aerial application pilot with additional multi-engine and DC-4 certifications. He was a certified cave diver. He regularly supported the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation as well as the Wounded Warriors Program. He served his country as a United States Marine Corpsman. Karl is survived by his wife, Betty Phillips of the home; his daughter, Joanie Mashburn and husband Drew of Little Rock; his son, David Phillips of Plainview, Texas; His brother, Jan Phillips of Pasadena, Texas; his two grandsons, Andrew and Miles Mashburn, both of Little Rock; and his niece, Bethany Phillips of Pasadena, Texas. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m.–1 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville. There will be a funeral service held at 1 p.m. at Moore's Chapel with interment to follow at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
