Doris Dean (Cash) Langer, 84, of Vinita, Okla., resident, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017. Doris was born in Bentonville, Ark., on December 6, 1932, to James Cash and Elsie (Keene) Cash. On June 2, 1956, she married Franklin Langer. Doris earned a master degree in nutrition from the University of Arkansas. From 1980 until she retired, she was the registered dietitian at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita. Doris was an avid Arkansas Razorback fan. She enjoyed researching Cash family genealogy. She attended First Baptist Church in Vinita when she was in better health. Survivors include her daughter Kim Langer of Vinita, son Steven Langer of Oklahoma City, and grandson/adopted son James Langer of Vinita, one brother Tom Cash of Pittsburg, Kan., and grandchildren Katherine Langer, Olivia Langer, Keaton Langer, and Chris Reeves. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Franklin, and siblings Bill Cash, Kathleen Reddick, and Helen Clayton. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, March 16, 2017 at the Luginbuel Funeral Chapel with Pastor Henry "Skip" McClain officiating. Services are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
