Karen LaHuntas Boen

Karen LaHuntas Boen, 80, of Bentonville, died Sunday, March 12, 2017. She was born July 14, 1936 in Talala, Okla., to Orlin Wade and Ruth Aline Curnutte Johnson. Karen worked as a chef for much of her life then retired from Benton County Department of Human Services. She was a member of Rogers American Legion Post 100 and loved to play Bingo. She is survived by four children, Rene Smith, Laurie Peoples, William Rieken, Billy Rieken; ten grandchildren, Amy, Heather, Sherri, Wade, Johnny, Randy, Amber, Bryant, Damian, Nik; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her step-mother who raised her, June Violet Johnson, and a brother, Harvey Johnson. A family celebration of her life will be at a later date.
