Dr. Richard Glenn (Ricky) Underwood, 50, devoted and loving son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on January 23, 2017 in Ormond Beach, Fla. Ricky was born Sept. 25, 1966 in Arlington, Texas, the youngest of four children. He is survived by his parents, Fred and Thelma Underwood of McKinney, Texas; his brother, David Underwood (Amy) of Huntingdon, Tenn.; his sister Sandra Munk (John) of Allen, Texas; his brother William Underwood of McKinney, Texas; and many nieces, a nephew, cousins, and friends. Ricky grew up in Little Rock, Ark., graduating from Hall High School in 1984, where he was a stand-out All-Star soccer player. He attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, graduating with a B.S. degree in Sociology and Economics in 1988. He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in 2002, with a specialty in Nuclear Pharmacy. During his career as a nuclear pharmacist with Triad Isotopes in Daytona Beach, Fla., Ricky helped alleviate the suffering of countless patients through his hard work and relentless dedication. Ricky was an avid fan of professional soccer, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also had an appreciation for classic cars, art and music. A celebration of his life will be held on March 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Suncreek United Methodist Church, 1517 W. McDermott Drive, Allen, Texas 75013.
