Josephine Sanders Lewis

Josephine Sanders Lewi,s of Maumelle, Ark., born October 18, 1919, to the late Perry (Todd) and Jennie Caldwell Sanders. She married James Ellis Lewis on February 12, 1940. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 yrs. James Ellis Lewis; one daughter, Lorene Brown; and one son, Tommy Lewis. She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Josephine Boyland (Edwin/Bell) Watson of Maumelle, Ark., Rosie Lee (Ralph) Griggs of Maumelle, Ark., Lesa Marie Lewis of Little Rock, Ark.; three sons, Johnnie Ellis (late Evenne) Lewis of Detroit, Woodie Carl Lewis of Detroit, James Ellis Lewis, Jr. of Atlanta; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren, several nieces, other relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be Saturday, March 25, 2017, 10 a.m., at Great Archview Baptist Church, 1720 West 23rd Street, Little Rock, Ark.
