Leon Majors, Sr., of Little Rock, Ark., took flight to his heavenly home on Monday, March 13, 2017, at 2:15 p.m., from UAMS. Brother Majors worked at Sterling Department Store until it closed; he retired from the Arkansas State Capitol after 40 years of faithful and distinguish service. Brother Majors was a World War II Veteran. He leaves to cherish his legacy son, Leon Majors, Jr., of Little Rock, Ark.; two special nieces, Marsha Gayle and Elizabeth "Liz" Majors both of Little Rock, Ark.; two God daughters, Carla Bowles and Bridget Mayweather of Little Rock, Ark.; one nephew, Floyd Majors, of Little Rock, Ark., and a host of nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews all of Little Rock, Ark., other loving family and friends. Home going services will be Monday, March 27, 2017, 11 a.m., St. John Baptist Church, 6th & Kimball Street, Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow with honors at Little Rock National Cemetery. Family visitation will be Sunday, March 26, 2017, 4-5 p.m., at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 South Chester Street, Little Rock, Ark. (501) 372-1305.
