Thomas Olen Brown, age 87, of Russellville, Arkansas, passed away March 21, 2017. He was born January 28, 1930, in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son to the late Oran A. Brown and Beatrice Session Brown. He retired from Crompton Mills after 35 years, and worked at Kroger for 12 years until leaving at the age of 80. He loved to spend his time fishing and gardening, and was a member of the Harding Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Doris Willis Brown; daughters Marie (Rickey) Estep of Russellville, and Belinda (David) Gordon, of Mayflower; one son, Wayne (Deborah) Brown, of Locust Grove; 4 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty Kuettle, Joyce Driggers, and Mary Jane Story; and one brother, Paul Brown. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Floyd Jake Brown, Lee Arl Brown, and Raymond Ray Brown; and a daughter, Vanessa Price. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Harris Chapel with Chaplin Chuck Hamilton and Reverend Johnny McCoy officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Memorial donations may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Service and arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
