Bettie Kirtley

BETTIE JOE KIRTLEY, 89, of Little Rock, Ark., died Tuesday night, March 21, 2017. Bettie was born Bettie Joe Davis on Feb. 4, 1928 in Norphlet, Ark. She grew up just outside Little Rock off of Highway 5 close to the Old Stagecoach House. She married Troy Lee Kirtley on March 31, 1947 in Benton, Ark. Together they raised eight children; George Neal, Linda Diane, Troy Eugene, Robert Wayne, John David, Steven William, Anita Kay, and Sherri Lee. In 1972, they bought the house Bettie lived in as a teenager just off Highway 5 and Bettie has lived there since. Bettie is preceded in death by her husband Troy Lee, son (John) David, and daughters Linda and Anita. Her memory will be cherished by her children: George of Sacramento, Calif.; Troy Eugene of El Paso, Texas; Robert of Maumelle, Ark.; Steven of Naples, Fla.; Sherri of Baton Rouge, La.; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and her four "sweet" pooches. Visitation for Bettie is Monday, March 27, 2017 between 5-7 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W 12th St., Little Rock, Ark. 72204. Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Griffin Leggett Healy & Roth with burial to follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 7401 AR-5, Alexander, Ark. 72002.
