Samuel Dix Resnikoff

Samuel Dix Resnikoff, 38, died Monday, March 20, 2017 in Little Rock, Ark. He was born in Los Angeles, Calif., January 23, 1979 to his parents, Belynda Dix of Little Rock, and Robert Resnikoff of Los Angeles. Sam was a writer and poet, with a deep appreciation for the power and beauty of words. Sam studied film and screenwriting at Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. During his freshman year, Sam developed schizophrenia, a disease he bravely battled for the rest of his life. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Robert L. Dix, and his paternal grandparents, Ann and Rueben Resnikoff. Sam will be deeply missed by his parents; his grandmother, Betty Dix; his aunts Becky Simons and Brenda Hanke (Tim); uncles Bradley and Bob Dix; and his many cousins and friends. Memorial services for my son, Sam Resnikoff, will be held Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 11 a.m., in Shamblin Chapel at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church, 4823 Woodlawn, Little Rock, 72205. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Play Mountain Place, Humanistic Education Center, 6063 Hargis Street, Los Angeles, Calif. 90034.
