Walter G. Hight, Sr., age 85, of Bigelow, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017. He was born May 30, 1931 in Bigelow, Arkansas, a son of Percy Charles Hight and May Belle Abbott Hight. He was a retired Air Force Veteran with over 20 years of service and served in Vietnam and Korean War. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, enjoyed traveling to new places and collecting antiques, and was the widower of Regina Catherine (Jean) Hight. He is survived by his children, Linda (Steve) Willman of Paris, Arkansas, Dorothy (Charles) Camp of Perryville, Rebecca (Jerry) White of Batesville, Walter G. Hight, Jr. of Bigelow, and Bart Hight of Bigelow; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Noel Hight and Harold Hight; and sisters, Emma Ingram, Ann Anderson, Margaret Boyd, Mary Lou Jones, and Norma Whitten. Other than his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Regina Katherine McKinney; infant brother, Buddy Hight; brothers, Thomas Hight, Paul Hight, George Hight, and Percy Hight, Jr.; and sisters, Elsie and Rita. Funeral mass will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 31, at St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Richard Davis officiating. Burial will be at St. Boniface Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
