Mary Harper

Mrs. Mary Harper of Arkadelphia passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Twin Rivers Health & Rehabilitation. She was 80 years old. Mary was a longtime member of Park Hill Baptist Church where she served as a greeter & Sunday school teacher and enjoyed fellowship with her many friends and acquaintances. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Harper, of Whelen Springs, her parents, Dale White & Maxine Bryant, and her brother, Bob White, originally of Gurdon. She is survived by her daughters, Patti Calhoun (Craig) of Tampa and Cathy Garrett (Charlie) of Arkadelphia; grandchildren, Lori Prichard (Carl) of Arkadelphia, Kristi Watson (Jimmy) of Jonesboro, Sheri Wood (Bo) of Arlington, Tenn., Paul Calhoun (Paige) of Tampa, David Calhoun (Vanessa) of Tampa, and Peytyn Garrett (Tyler Daniel) of Arkadelphia; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Cook of Arkadelphia, Katelyn Watson of Jonesboro, Lauren Cook of Arkadelphia, Ryan Watson of Jonesboro, Hayden Wood of Arlington, Tessa Wood of Arlington, Camden Calhoun of Tampa, Tynlee Wood of Arlington, and Elias Calhoun of Tampa; step-grandchildren, Jennifer Jones (Jason) of Bethel Heights and Jessie Cuellar of Arkadelphia; step-great-grandchildren, Austin Prichard of Arkadelphia, Clay Prichard of Arkadelphia, Jenna Jones of Bethel Heights, Jake Jones of Bethel Heights, and Lily Cuellar of Arkadelphia; nephew, Hal Harper (Shari) of Whelen Springs, niece, Pam Hathcoat (Leon) of Whelen Springs, and nephew, Greg Harper (Stephanie) of Lonoke; and special friends, Bobbie Easter and Mary Jones of Arkadelphia. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Park Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Craig Seals officiating. Interment will be in Bethlehem Cemetery at Gurdon. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Park Hill Baptist Church, 3333 Hollywood Road, Arkadelphia, Ark. 71923.
