Enoch Samuel Tims

Enoch Samuel (Mickey) Tims Jr. of Solon, Ohio transitioned to paradise on Friday, May 5, 2017, in Bryant, Arkansas. He was born to the late Enoch Samuel Tims, Sr. and Thelma Turner Tims in Little Rock, Arkansas. Enoch graduated from Little Rock Hall High School where he was an All-Star Athlete in Football and Track. He received a 4 year football scholarship to attend Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and graduated in 1979 with a B.S. in Accounting. While there, he pledged his beloved fraternity The Alpha Zeta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi in the Spring of 1976. Enoch became a C.P.A. in 1990 and worked in numerous accounting positions including ALCOA, Exide Technologies and Masco. He was currently the Plant Controller for Reynolds Aluminum in Malvern, Arkansas. Enoch was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching movies and political programs. He was also a member of 100 Black Men and the National Association of Black Accountants. He married his high school sweetheart, Daisy Louisa Dean on November 24, 1979 and they set off on living an adventure that lasted 37 years. They were blessed with two children, Enoch lll., (Trey) and Whitney Patrice who adored their "daddy" and he adored them. Enoch was a great provider for his family and loved everyone unconditionally. He was a man of strong faith and loved God and he led his household to do the same. He was converted at an early age at New Hebron Baptist Church which his maternal grandfather helped build. Enoch was predeceased by his son, Enoch Samuel Tims, lll; his parents, Enoch and Thelma Tims; and one brother, Reginald Dewayne Tims. Surviving Enoch is his loving and devoted bride (as he called her), Daisy Dean Tims; his devoted daughter, Whitney Patrice Horton and her husband, LaKeon and their children, AhJamari, Jayson, and Zoë. His devoted brother, Darrell (Pamela) and their children, Reginald and Maya; 2 sisters, Deborah (Ronald) Roland and Lenora Stewart; Devoted brother and sister-in-laws who loved him like a brother, Dr. Billy and Beverly Thomas and their children, Aaron (Taketa) and daughter Ionia; Billie Jean (Jack) and daughter, Jai; Jesse; Peggy Williams and daughter, Catherine; Kenneth and Floy Etta Scott and son, Zachary and daughter, Sydney; a Godsister, Jeanette Donald and a host of cousins, relatives, friends and fraternity brothers. A celebration of Enoch's life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11 a.m., at Theressa Hoover United Methodist Church at 4000 W. 13th St. Little Rock, Ark. Interment immediately following at Haven of Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks.
