Theda Faye Ezell

Theda Faye Cawthon Ezell of Siloam Springs (Weddington), died Monday, May 8, 2017, at the Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Theda was born on September 29, 1928 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a daughter of Leonard Cawthon and Lula Hunton Cawthon. She was the widow of the late Billie Dale Ezell, whom she wed on June 22, 1946. Theda and Dale were dairy farmers for many years on the farm that has been in the family since the 1860's. Theda enjoyed sewing, canning, gardening, spending time with family and going on vacations. Theda was the Worthy Grand Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star for the State of Arkansas in 1979 and then served as the Worth Grand Secretary of the Order of the Eastern Star for the State of Arkansas for 10 years. She was a member of the Weddington Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Richard Dale Ezell and husband John Michael Morgan of Atlanta, Ga., and Michael Lloyd Ezell and wife Holly Anne Millsap Ezell of Weddington; sister, Helen Lorene Douthit of Prairie Grove; three sisters-in-law, Helen Lucille Slaten Ezell of Farmington, Anna Elizabeth Brandon Ezell of Springdale, and Julie Margrett Burdick Ezell of Anaheim, Calif.; four grandchildren, Stephania Anne Ezell Abell and husband Charles Dana Abell of Norman, Okla., Christopher Dale Ezell and wife Penny Celeste Stewart Ezell of Fayetteville, Nathan Michael Ezell and wife Rebekah Allie Falkner of Austin, Tex., and Rachel Anne Ezell and husband Michael Travers O'Keefe of Duxbury, Mass.; seven great-grandchildren, Zachary Hayden Abell and Benjamin Orin Abell of Norman, Okla., Katherine Elizabeth Ezell and Alexander Dale Ezell of Fayetteville, and Alden Ezell O'Keefe, Harold Dale O'Keefe and Abner Harmon O'Keefe all of Duxbury, Mass.; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2017, at Weddington Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Phil Misenheimer will officiate the service with interment at Weddington Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the to the Willard Walker Hospice Home, 325 E.
