James "Jim" Adonald Wilson

James "Jim" Adonald Wilson, 78, of Cabot died Thursday, May 11, 2017. He was born July 9, 1938 in North Little Rock to the late William "Bill" Adonale and Margie Skinner Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of Levy Baptist Church and a wonderful husband and father. He retired from AMPI, now known as Dairy Farmers of America, after 33 years, as the Operations Manager. He was instrumental in moving the industry from manual data entry to a modern computerized system. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Army National Guard and was activated and on duty during the integration of Central High School. After retirement, he raised stock grade beef cattle on his farm in Cabot and also enjoyed selling strawberries at the Cabot Patch. Mr. Wilson never met a stranger and always remembered names. He was an avid basketball and football fan and trading card collector. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Joan Blakey Wilson; his son, Farrell Wilson (Glenda) of Bryant; grandson, Joshua Wilson of South Carolina; brother, William "Dub" Ralph Wilson of Texarkana; sister, Betty Ann Wilson Jones (Bud) of North Little Rock and half-brother, Donnie Wilson. Visitation will be from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. A memorial service will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday with Reverend David Mitchell officiating.
