Tipton Burnett

Tipton Eugene Burnett, 64, of Bentonville passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. He was born January 11, 1953 in Rogers, Arkansas, the son of Mabel and Burt Burnett. Tip was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Rogers for 38 years, and served our country in the U.S. Air Force. While working with the postal service, Tip worked weekends with special needs children at the Benton County Sunshine School for nine years. Tip is survived by his wife Sherry of Bentonville; two sons, Chris Burnett and his wife Kellie of Pea Ridge, Dan Burnett and his wife Lindsay of Bella Vista; two stepsons, James Pilcher and his wife Laura of Centerton, and Parker Pilcher of Bentonville; one brother, Rick Burnett of Bentonville, and two sisters, Sharon Al-Madhoun and her husband Shawki of Bella Vista, Brenda Branstetter and her husband Jim of Bella Vista; his stepdad Toby Whorton of Bentonville; one stepsister, Paula Fricke and her husband Todd of Rogers; and nine grandchildren. Tip was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Steven Burnett. A celebration of Tip's life will be held Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. at Bella Vista Church of Christ.
