Dianne Aneta Dawkins, 74, of Bella Vista, Ark., died May 9, 2017. She was born Sept. 24, 1942 in Medford, Ore., to Date Glen Palm and Marian Smith Palm. They moved to Bella Vista in 2002 from Bangkok, Thailand. During 30 years in Thailand, Dianne was active in many organizations. They included The American Women's club, the Thai-American Friendship Group, International School Bangkok, the Soroptimists' Club and the International Rescue Committee in Bangkok. She tutored English with the staff of the law firm Tillecke and Gibbons. She also assisted in organizing sales of Hill Tribe handicrafts from the Lao Song people and teaching handicrafts in the slums of Klong Toey under Father Joe Meier. She was a member of St. Theodore's Episcopal Church. She was preceded in death by her father. She is survived by her husband, William; mother, Marian Dell (Smith) Palm of Roseburg, Ore.; one son, Daniel C. Dawkins of Bella Vista, Ark.; one daughter, Deborah A. Barnes and husband, Stephan of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, Raymond G. Palm of Roseburg, Ore., and four grandchildren, David Dawkins, Stephan W. Barnes, Justin W. Barnes, and Sydney Elizabeth Barnes. Memorial Services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 17 at St. Theodore's Episcopal Church, Bella Vista, Ark.
