James "Jim" H. Knight, age 72, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Friday, May 12, 2017 in Fayetteville. Jim was born Sept. 5, 1944 in Red Bay, Ala., to the late Preston and Viola Knight. Jim was a lifelong resident of Elaine, Ark., before moving to Fayetteville in 2007. He was a Row Crop farmer in Elaine over 30 years until 1998, when he retired. He enjoyed spoiling his grandkids and attending their sporting events, doctoring them as needed. Jim also liked drinking coffee in his recliner and watching sports on television. He is survived by his wife, Paula Churchwell Knight; two sons, Kenneth "Vaugn" Knight (Amy) of Fayetteville and Marcus "Mark" Harold Knight (Tiffany) of Little Rock; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Kenneth, Collins, Mary Michael, Spencer and Jackson Knight; brother, Will Knight (JoAnn) of Pontotoc, Miss.; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Faye McGrew, Jackie Pierce, Artie Blackburn; and brother, Bobby Knight. A service for Jim Knight will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena. Brother Nathan Gorman will officiate. Pallbearers are Bill Knight, Steve Knight, Warren McGrew, Arnold Blackburn, Winford Blackburn, Chris Blackburn, Martin Pierce, Butch Griffin and Linnell Lewis.
