Homer Harold Jones Jr.

Homer Harold Jones Jr., 88, of Bearden died Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden. He was born March 2, 1929, in Bearden, Ark. Homer was owner of Homer Jones Motor Company, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bearden, 32nd degree Mason, Lion's Club, Cabun Clinic Board of Directors, and former mayor of Bearden. He is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Harold Jones Sr. and Dorothy Gatling Jones Duckworth; and son-in-law, Glenn Bailey. He is survived by one son, Jay Jones; three daughters, Melinda (Dave) Davison, Donna (Mike) Vaughan, and Ginger Bailey all of Bearden; one brother, Dr. Jimmy Jones of Arkadelphia; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, 6-8 p.m., at Benton Funeral Home in Bearden. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Bearden. Burial will follow at Moss Cemetery.
