Kay Francis Ivy Childs, age 84, of Benton; passed away May 12, 2017 at her home in Benton, Arkansas. She was born September 5, 1932 in McCrory, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Johnnie and Irvin Ivy. She was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. Kay was a loving wife, mother and granny. She was a very loving and compassionate person. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Holloway and five brothers, Henry, Walter, Derwood, Joe, and Bobbie Ivy. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Thomas E. Childs, her daughter, Rebecca Adams, and son, Thomas E. Childs Jr.(Carol), three sisters, Ann Oliver (Marvin), Bettie Hammer, and Nettie Alford (George), five grandchildren, Timothy Adams (Michelle), Christopher Adams, Kimberly Billingsley (Carlton), Megan Childs and Cody Childs, Seven Great-grandchildren, Blake Adams, Haley Adams, Colson Billingsley, Conlee Billingsley, Cooper Billingsley, Wyatt Adams and Kayden Adams, one very special friend, David Barber along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery. Minister will be Bro. Tom Williams. Pallbearers: Danny Adams, Carlton Billingsley, David Childs, David Coffman, Bret Hammer, Rick Holland. Honorary Pallbearers: Blake Adams, Colson Billingsley, Conlee Billingsley, Cooper Billingsley, and Wyatt Adams. Special thanks to Hospice Home Care and to all the prayers the family has received.
