Lowell O. Adams

Mr. Lowell O. Adams, age 96, of Colt, died Tuesday at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He had been in the hospital for the past five days. Mr. Adams was born February 20, 1921, in Pine Tree, and was the son of Barney Adams and Deacy Aldridge Adams. He lived in the Pine Tree and Colt area all of his life, was a retired farmer and from Arkansas Power and Light Company, was a Veteran of World War II serving in the 273 Field Artillery Batallion, was a Staff Sergeant and received the Bronze Star, and attended the Truth Ministries Church in Wynne. Mr. Adams married Elizabeth Drury in 1948, and she survives him along with one daughter, Dr. Renee Adams Bornemeier, and husband, Richard Lee, of Little Rock, one granddaughter, Grace Elizabeth Bornemeier, and several nieces and nephews. He had one sister, Ruth Sanders, two brothers; John Lloyd Adams and Calvin Adams, who all preceded him in death. Services for Mr. Adams will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10 a.m., Saturday, with burial in Barnishaw Cemetery in Pine Tree. Visitation will be Friday evening, 6 till 8 p.m. at the funeral home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
