Nancy Catherine Foster, age 93, a longtime resident of Fayetteville passed away Friday May 19, 2017 at the Maples at Harber Meadows in Springdale. She was born December 4, 1923 on the Shreve farm in Farmington, Arkansas, the daughter of Ralph and Janie Bell Wilson Shreve. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons Frank Blew, Jr. and Mike Blew; her sisters Waurika Porter and Joan Pruett; her brothers William F. Shreve and Ralph Shreve Jr. She was employed by Campbell Soup for many years and after her time there she worked at Hancock Fabrics. She was of the Christian faith and was a charter member of University Baptist Church. She was hard working, generous and very proud of her Cherokee heritage. She made hundreds of handmade quilts for family and friends and donated many to raffles for charity as well as the Cherokee children's orphanage. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Billie D. Foster; her daughter, Nancy Blew Israel and husband Ben of Fayetteville; her daughters-in-law, Mava Gilley Blew of Fayetteville and Rita Ragland Blew of Junction, Texas; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday May 23 at Moore's Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Second Mile Ministries at University Baptist Church 333 W.
