Pearl Rabeneck Spotts, of Little Rock, passed away in Springfield, Mo., on May 22 at the age of 96 years, 10 months. She was born July 14, 1920, in Arkansas County, Arkansas, to her parents, Josephine (Payer) and A. F. Rabeneck. Pearl spent most of her childhood with her parents and brother in Pine Bluff, AR. She loved visiting her many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Stuttgart area in Arkansas. She graduated from Pine Bluff High School. She married G. B. "Bud" Spotts; during WWII she worked in offices on bases in Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas where Bud was stationed in the U.S. Army. After the war, she and Bud settled in Little Rock, Ark., and had two daughters. Pearl worked most of her adult life in secretarial positions and retired from UALR-College of Business. She and Bud were married 67 years and were long-time members of Grace Lutheran Church in Little Rock, Ark. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her grandson, Chris Bell. Also her sister-in-law, Maylene Rabeneck and nephew, Larry Rabeneck. She is survived by her daughters Marilyn Bell (Robert) and Sandra Spotts. Also her grandchildren, Molly Gray (Ron) and Jonathan Ritchie (Angie), and great grandchildren Aidan and Owen Gray and Harper Ritchie. Also her brother, Malvern Rabeneck, her nephew, Ken Rabeneck (Mickey), Jim Rabeneck (Jessica) all of Kansas City, Mo., Sharon Rabeneck of Kansas and Pamela Cinquini (Peter) and Leo of Tasmania. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 5124 Hillcrest, Little Rock, Ark., 72205 with Rev. James Walter officiating. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark. Memorials may be made to the church. The family wishes to thank the caregivers and nurses at the Manor at Elfindale, 700 Hall and Maplewood Care Center, both in Springfield, Mo. for their kindness to and compassionate care for Pearl.
