Earle A. Garlinger, 90 of Bentonville and formerly of Roswell, New Mexico passed away Sunday, May 21. He was born July 25, 1926 in Colton, California to the late John Jackson Garlinger, Sr. and Lois Arlecia Schooler Garlinger. At the age of 15 he began his 1st career, serving his country in WWII in the Army Air Corp, then the US Air Force before retiring with 21 years of service. He loved watching old classics on the Western channel and enjoyed telling stories of the places he was stationed. He was a kind, gentle, do-it-yourself kind of guy, doing his own home and vehicle repair. Earle was the loving husband of Madlyn Garlinger who preceded him. In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded by his son, Earle Anthony Garlinger; two brothers, John J. Garlinger Jr. and George Garlinger and his sister, Marjorie Watson. Survivors include his nephews, George, Chuck, Bob and David Garlinger; his nieces, Carol Sutt, Heidi Scott, Kathy Wroten and Suzy Byers. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at LaGrone Funeral Home in Roswell, New Mexico and his graveside funeral service with full military honors will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27 in South Park Cemetery, Roswell.
