Ann Frantz Magouirk, 85, of Roland, passed away Friday, May 26. She was born Ann Camille Williams on Feb. 20, 1932, to John Frank Williams and Noella Duffy Campbell Williams on the family farm in what is now Lake Maumelle in Pulaski County. A graduate of Joe T. Robinson High School, Ann was valedictorian of her class. She went to work as a switchboard operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone and later a telephone customer service representative for McKesson Drug Company in Little Rock. She attended the Arthur Murray School of Dance and enjoyed dancing throughout her life. She also was a member of the Little Rock Jazz Club with her late husband, Marvin R. (Curley) Magouirk, a jazz guitarist. Ann was a Baptist. Ann is survived by a son, Michael Frantz of Roland; a daughter, Susan (Tom) Wiles of Little Rock; three granddaughters, Kim (Shane) Sweetin of Little Rock, Summer (Mike) Dickinson of Brandon, Suffolk, England, and Ashley (Chuck) Stalyons of Conway; six grandchildren; three sisters, Elsie Cook of Granite City, Ill., Agnes Kennedy of Roland, and Pat Grimmette of Little Rock; two step-daughters, Carol Sanders of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Pam (Richard) Stephens of Little Rock; three step-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was pre-deceased by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Gordon Williams, Charles Williams, and Paul Williams; one half-brother, Frank Williams; and one half-sister, Inez Brewer. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 30, at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning at noon at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 North in Alexander.
