WAYNE DINGLER passed on to glory on May 25th, 2017. Born in Hopper, Ark., in Dec. 1928, Dad was the only child of Elmer and Velda Dingler. He was married to the former Patsy Craig for 63 years, with Mother passing away in 2015. He is survived by son David Dingler and his wife Martha, daughter Dr. Melissa Dingler and her husband John Irvin, three grandchildren Eric and Courtney Dingler and Stephen Duhon. Three great-grandchildren Taylor and Madeline Wright and Kristen Duhon. After graduating from DeQueen AR. high school, Wayne went on to become a licensed Pharmacist in 1954 after graduating from the University of Oklahoma. He owned Dingler Drug store in Mena, Ark., for many years. He was also the owner of Mena Tobacco and Vending until his retirement. He was an Alderman in Mena and was named Citizen of the year by the Mena Elks lodge in 1987. He was recognized for the rehabilitation of the Mena Railroad Depot also in 1987. Wayne was on the board of the Directors for First National Bank 1979-2014. Dad's favorite pastime was fishing at Lake Ouachita with many friends and family. He was an exceptional leader in his community and long term member of the First Baptist Church. He was a devoted husband and father who was very supportive, generous, loving with a great sense of humor. We will cherish our memories of him. Private family services will be held at a later date.
