Lucas Aaron Hennigan, age 30, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He was born March 28, 1987 in Shreveport, Louisiana, the son of Stephen and Cheryl Warren Hennigan. Luke was a beautiful soul who found his passion in the culinary arts. He graduated from the French Culinary Institute on September 16, 2008. He first worked in the restaurant industry as a chef, then joined Newly Weds Foods as an embedded chef at Tyson. He joined Tyson Foods in culinary research in May 2016 and had recently become a Certified Research Chef. He loved live music, outdoor activities and spending time with friends, family and his two dogs. He was a wonderful son and brother, and a passionate creator of food. He brightened the lives of those around him with his kindness, friendliness and humor. He had grown into a young man of integrity who loved to educate and inspire others. Fiercely independent, his path was always his own. Luke is survived by his father and step-mother, Stephen and Tina Hennigan of Fayetteville; his mother and step-father, Cheryl and Pete Gilbert of Fayetteville; two sisters, Cari Hennigan of Wichita, Kansas and Sofia Hennigan of Fayetteville; maternal grandmother, Janet Brinson of Shawnee, Kansas; paternal grandmother, Lawrie Hennigan of Springdale; paternal grandfather, Charles Hennigan of Humble, Texas; his step-mother, Michell Lee Hennigan of Fayetteville and his Godparents, Troy and Sheila Johnson of Shreveport, Louisiana. Honorary pallbearers are William McCormick, Christopher Sky Brandon, Nick Jones, Jeffery Callahan, Lisa Yacarino, Tony Lockard, Cameron Tyler McKay and Mario Valdovino. Visitation will be 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017 at Moore Chapel in Fayetteville. A gathering celebrating Luke's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Fellowship Bible Church in Rogers, under the direction of Moore's Chapel.
