Ronald Nelson Williams

Ronald Nelson Williams, MD, 75, of Ferndale, Arkansas died October 28, 2017. He was born October 2, 1942 in Sheridan, Arkansas to James Roland and Kathryn Nelson Williams. Ronald earned his Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He was Navy Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. He served for two years at the Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. He worked as a neurosurgeon for 35 years. He is preceded in death by his parents and his niece, Kathryn Lee Franks. Ronald is survived by his wife, Edris (Mickey); sons, Jan Stevenson Williams of Cleveland, Ohio and Scott Wilson Williams of New Orleans, Louisiana; daughter, Mary Kathryn Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandson, Sullivan Charles Williams; and sisters, Judy Kathryn Norton of Harrison, Arkansas and Mary Alice Carnes of Rogers, Arkansas. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 224-8300, burial will follow at Lost Creek Cemetery in Sheridan, Arkansas.
