Velvia Gilbert

Velvia "Nessie" Gilbert, 57, of Little Rock passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory: Jean Gilbert (step-mother), brother, Johnny Gilbert Jr. (Annette), two nephews, Jarrard and Jason, two grandnieces, Jasmine and Jada along with a host of relatives and friends. Nessie was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Gilbert Sr., Hazel Gilbert and brother, Charles Gilbert. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. John Baptist Church, 2501 S. Main Street. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. The homegoing celebration will begin at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas.
