Birdie Grover Clayton of Wynne died on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at CrossRidge Community Hospital; he was 88. Grover is survived by his wife, Faye Gailey Clayton of the home, daughter, Roseann Rolland and husband Randy of Spring, Texas, sons, Michael Owen Clayton and wife Nelly of Austin, Texas, John Timothy Clayton of Wynne, granddaughters, Randi Nicole Rolland of Sacramento, California, Katelyn Smith Brown of Wynne, Rebecca Elisabeth Clayton of Austin, Texas, half siblings, Carlos Clayton of Jonesboro, Sherra Reiste of North Dakota and Marice Boardman of Memphis, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his son, William Gailey Clayton. brothers, William Thomas Clayton, Walter Clayton, and sisters, Juanita Burkett, Willene Tench, Joan Brown Matthews, and parents, William Grover and Gladys Rebecca Clayton. Visitation will be Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Wynne. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Reverend Glenn Pettus officiating.
