Henry Joe Cooper, 87, of Buckville, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was born December 2, 1929 to the late Henry Harrison & Lillie Belle McDaniel in Carden Bottoms (Yell County, Ark). In 1944, his family moved to Sherrill, Ark. to pursue farming. He was reared and received his early education in Carden Bottoms and Wabbaseka. Mr. Cooper was a fireman for the Pine Bluff Fire Department with the rank of Lieutenant. He was a Mason and a Baptist by faith. Joe loved deer hunting, fishing, and spending time on time on Lake Ouachita. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, five sisters, and beloved niece Marsha Lynn Reed. Left to cherish his memory, wife of 64 years, Margie Sue Robinson; whom he married October 30, 1953 in Sherrill; numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Gary Cooper officiating. Mr. Cooper will be in state Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at Robinson's. Pallbearers will be Gary Cooper, Jerry Coffey, Michael Reed, Clint Jackson, Dale Reed and Donnie Robinson.
