JOHN ROBERT STONE, 61, of Little Rock passed away Thursday Nov. 2, 2017. Born June 12, 1956 in Dallas, Texas to Beatrice Redd Stone and Robert Don Stone. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judy, and son, Luke, Sister, Margaret and Jack Hyatt, sister in-law, Linda Dalton and the late Joe Dalton, two nephews Josh Hyatt and Joe Dalton Jr. He was a 1978 graduate of West Point Military Academy serving five years active duty and retired Major in the Army Reserves. While serving in Manheim, Germany he met his loving wife, Judy, and returned home to live in Midland, where Luke was born. He had a proud career specializing in quality assurance manufacturing. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a precious loving husband and proud father; proud to have served his country and a patriot. He had a passion for reading, and loved spending time with family and friends, but most of all dancing, theater and growing old with his wife. He was a scout master in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts where he enjoyed helping boys become leaders. He was most proud to support his son to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, like he had achieved in his youth. He was a proud 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7 at Immanuel Baptist Chapel, visitation will be held prior to services starting at 10:30 a.m. Burial with Full Military Honors will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Immanuel Baptist Out Reach program, 501 N.
