CURTIS DEWAYNE GEORGE, 85, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 10, 2017. He was born Friday, June 10, 1932 in Russellville, Ark., to Truman Steel George and Aubie Bowden George. Curtis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed woodworking, mechanics and gardening. He spent 48 years working in the Circulation Department of the Arkansas Democrat Gazette Newspaper. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Una Grace Clements George, children DeJuana Sipes (Gary) of Jacksonville, Joel Wayde George (Kathy) of Greenbrier, grandchildren Jason Sipes, Brian Sipes, Daniel Sipes, Christina George, Brandy Nunnally, Amber Sandner and 18 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include sister Veda Robinson of Cabot along with a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at noon, Monday, Nov. 13, 2017 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Ward officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. A private family interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the North Hills Baptist Church Building Fund, 9618 AR-107, North Little Rock, Ark. 72120. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Cabot Nursing and Rehab. for the love and care shown to Curtis during his illness.
