Florence Bowling of Redfeld, Arkansas, age 92, born October 7, 1925 in Bayou Meta, Arkansas to Gentry and Minnie Tipton, passed away on November 12, 2017. She had previously resided in Sweet Home and North Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a true believer of the Christian faith and a longtime member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clevis and two sons, Jerry and Danny Bowling. She is survived by a daughter, Kathy (Bill) Morrrow of Pine Bluff and son, David (Martha) Bowling of Redfield. Mom lived a long and fulfilled life. Growing up on a farm with a family of 10 brothers and one sister, she spent many days working on the farm foregoing luxuries afforded to most people to help the family make it through the tough times. The most cherished time of her life was when she met her husband Clevis, had children and moved to the Sweet Home community. After her husband passed away, she moved to the Rose City area of North Little Rock and finally to Redfield. Life lessons made her a humble person. Life for mom was enjoying the outdoors, working in the yard, her flowerbeds and garden. She had a gift of identifying plants, mom could dig up what most would think was a weed and it would grow into a beautiful flowering plant. She loved nature and what it offered, including all the birds and animals alike. Above all, she loved spending time with her children and family. Mom's house and especially the kitchen was always open for anything desired. She was an excellent cook and always made sure sweets were available for all the kids. Mom is survived by nine grandchildren: Chris Bowling, Sheila Bennett, Michelle Downie, Karla Roberts, Sherry Willis and Billy, Steven, Marcus and Josh Morrow; 13 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren. Surviving brothers and sisters are: Marvin Tipton, RC Tipton, Lonnie Tipton and Edna Tompkins. Mom always put others first, in her lifetime she gave away more to others than she ever acquired. Our family has been so blessed to have her for as long as we have. Graveside service is 10:00 A.M.,Wednesday, November 15, at Pine Grove Cemetery with Bro. Tony Jones, officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 14, 6-8 p.m. at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. Online guestbook: www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/drummond.
