Benjamin Franklin Tubb

Benjamin (Bennie, Ben) Franklin Tubb born October 29, 1936 in Little Rock, Arkansas passed away November 5, 2017 in Tallahassee, Florida. He was 81 years old. He was preceded in death by his father, William Haskell Tubb, his mother, BeeBell Brown Tubb and his sister, Dorothy Louise Meadows. He leaves his 3 children, Laura L. (Tubb) Frascoia of Waldorf, Maryland; William Gerald Tubb of Marlton, New Jersey and Crista Ellen Tubb of Tallahassee, Florida; his 5 grandchildren, Amanda, Gabrielle, Dominique, Trevor and Miranda and his three great-grandchildren, Hayley, Logan and Giovanni behind. After graduating high school Ben joined the US Navy and trained in Pensacola, Florida at the US Naval Schools of Photography and Aerial Photography. He served in the Mediterranean on the USS Lake Champlain aircraft carrier before returning to the states to finish serving our country at the US Naval Photographic Center in Washington, DC. This training lead to a career in the local film industry with both Koster Film Laboratory and his own production company, TW II Productions. He did both local and national commercials and traveled the world several times most notably with the Wide World of Golf. He was active in the local film community until his retirement in 1989. He lived for many years in Arizona before eventually returning to settle in Tallahassee, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in his name to St. Jude's Hospital for Children.
