Deloris Hannah Iverson

Deloris H. Iverson of Little Rock, Ark. a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, educator and cherished friend to many, transitioned into eternity November 13, 2017, surrounded by family and friends. She was preceded by her parents, Berry and Everlenia Iverson; two brothers, Rufus and Cornelius Iverson; two sisters, Magalene and Elnatha Wilkins. She began her career with the Little Rock School District and during the next 40 years of her career as an educator, Deloris worked in many capacities to assist classroom teachers in closing the achievement gap. Her loving survivors include: children, Ricky (Tonjuna) Iverson, Zebralon Dukes, Cedrick Blue and Terra Dukes all of Little Rock, Ark.; siblings, Iona Christopher, Bessie Iverson and Evelyn Iverson all of Pastoria, Ark., Pauline (Jesse) Anderson, of Little Rock, Ark., Willie (Norma) Iverson of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Versie Cogshell of Little Rock, Ark.; sister-in-law, Pearl Iverson of Pine Bluff, Ark.; special lifelong friends, Dorothy Jackson of Pine Bluff, Ark., Nona Scoggins and Charlotte Washington both of Little Rock, Ark., and a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017, 11am, at St. Mark Church, 5722 West 12th St. Little Rock, Ark. Interment will follow at Elmlawn Cemetery.
