Marion Franklin Martin

Marion Franklin "Buddy" Martin, 80, of Perryville, Arkansas, died November 14, 2017 at his home near Perryville, Arkansas of natural causes. He was born May 25, 1937 in Clarksville, Arkansas. His parents were the late Firman and Faye Martin of Clarksville He was a graduate of Clarksville High School class of 1956 and attended the College of the Ozarks and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He was involved in the amusement machine business for many years, with Tri-State Sales at Fayetteville for over 15 years; as well as companies in Marietta, Ohio; Westport, Massachusetts; and Fayetteville and Fort Smith in Arkansas. He was an avid Razorback fan and was seen everywhere in his Razorback sweatshirts, especially in Ohio and New England. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Peterson Martin of Perryville; son, Patrick Martin of Fayetteville; daughter, Marian "Sandy" Penner of Perryville; three grandchildren, Ryan Martin and James Penner of Springdale and Drew Martin of Oxford, Mississippi; and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Madison Franklin Penner and his sister, Rita Hartsfield. An open visitation will be held at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville. Service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robin Foster officiating. Burial will be held at the Stillwell Cemetery in Clarksville. Pallbearers will be Patrick Martin, Ryan Martin, David Van Pelt, Glenn Peterson, James Penner, and Neal Jones.
