Millard E. Aud

Millard E. Aud, age 83, of Arkadelphia, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017 at Baptist Healthcare in Little Rock. He was born February 1, 1934 in Arkadelphia to the late Earl and Desser Brown Aud. He was a member of First Baptist Church and a past deacon at Second Baptist Church. Millard was an U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Millard was the chairman, trustee and general manager of the Olds Foundation in Amity, AR. He previously was president of the Bank of Amity, the Atlanta National Bank in Atlanta, Texas, and the Merchants & Planters Bank in Arkadelphia. He was a member of Arkadelphia Masonic Lodge #381 and Scimitar Shrine Temple. Millard was very proud of his community, serving in many different capacities. He currently was on the board of the Caddo Career Consortium, South West Arkansas Planning and Development Corp, advisory board of Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia and the Board of Trustees for Ouachita Baptist University. Millard previously served as chairman of the Arkansas Bankers Association School Board, Public Relations Committee, Arkansas Bankers Association and the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce Industrial Committee. He was previously president of Henderson State University Alumni Association, Southwest Arkansas Shrine Club, Arkadelphia Little League, Clark County & American Legion Baseball, General Industries Corp. in Arkadelphia, AR. and the Atlanta Industrial Development Foundation. He served on the Executive Board of the Ouachita Area Council Boy Scouts of America, and was past manager of the Clark County Fair Association. He served on the boards of the Ouachita Area Development Council, Arkansas Bankers Association, Ark-Tex Private Industry Council, Tri-State Corridor Commission, Ouachita Baptist University Development Council, Clark County Industrial Council, Clark County United Way, Main Street Arkadelphia, Arkansas Vocational Educational Foundation Inc. and the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce. He was on the advisory board for the Community Bankers Association of the American Bankers Association and the Independent College Fund of Arkansas. He was previously a member of the Arkadelphia and Atlanta Rotary Clubs and the Arkadelphia Civitan Club. Survivors are his wife, Theda Ross Aud; two sons, Michael Aud and wife Pam of Destin, Florida, Gregory Ross Aud and wife Amy of Arkadelphia; three grandchildren, Hayden Ross Aud and Olivia Aud of Maumelle, Ark. and Jacob Guidry and wife Ashley of Malvern, Ark.; two sisters, Ella Ruth Reeder of Arkadelphia and Earlene Arnold and husband W.H. Dub of Hot Springs; one brother, Tommy Aud and wife Estelle of Plano, Texas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 25th at Arkadelphia First Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Darby and Bro. Charlie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday until service at the church. Pallbearers will be Dr. Wesley Kluck, Brown Hardman, Eddie Arnold, James Nesbitt, Bill Wright, Ron Daniell, Damon Daniels, Don Pennington, Eric Hughes, Sandy Sandifer and Erman Mauldin.
