Regina Bawiec Skretkowicz, 88, of North Little Rock, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017. She was born November 17, 1929, to John and Stella Bawiec. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A faithful Roman Catholic, she was a longtime member of St. Anne Church. She was a talented seamstress and gardener. An exceptional cook and baker, she worked for the NLR School District and the Arkansas Army National Guard. Her meals and pastries were savored by guardsmen from throughout the US when they drilled at Camp Robinson. After retirement, she continued to cook and bake the favorites of family and friends; her carrot cakes raised hundreds of dollars for the Sherwood Senior Citizens Center fundraisers. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph J. Skretkowicz; daughter, Sandra (Michael) Bulmanski of Sherwood; son, Commander (USN) Steven (Karen) Skretkowicz of Lakeland, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Jenna (Tim) Pride, Aaron (Jessica) Bulmanski, and Kayla Bulmanski, all of Sherwood, Elizabeth Skretkowicz of Boulder, Colo., and Christopher Skretkowicz of Atlanta, Ga.; two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Caden Pride; and two sisters, Dominica Jaworski and Alma (Frank) Strozyk of North Little Rock. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edmund Bawiec; and a sister, Agnes Bargiel. Memorials may be made to Cancer Research Institute at www.CancerResearch.org. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 6150 Remount Road, North Little Rock.
