David Joe Woosley Jr., age 53, passed away on Nov.25, 2017 after a long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He was a 1982 graduate of Cabot High School where he also played football. He graduated Arkansas State University in Jonesboro with a degree in Marketing and was vice president of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. David's hobbies included fishing and golfing with friends, attending all Razorback home games, and traveling to all the SEC stadiums in the RV. He was a co-owner of D&D Medical Equipment in Cabot for over 20 years and a member of the Cabot Church of Christ for over 40 years. David is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kimberly Walters Woosley; two daughters, Darya (Eric) Bontempo and Shae Woosley; mother, Cleota Raney Woosley; a sister, Kim (Craig) Rogers; four nieces: Raney and Rikki Rogers, Kylee Thompson, and Katie Jones; a nephew, Tyler Jones; and his beloved pets, Oliver Joe and Perry Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, David Joe Woosley Sr.; his grandparents: Walter E. and Frances A. Raney, and Charles R. and Thelma J. Woosley; and a nephew, Joshua Derek Rogers. Vistitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore's Funeral Home in Cabot. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moore's Funeral Home in Cabot, with interment to follow at the Mt. Carmel cemetery.
