Jo Ann Carter

Jo Ann Carter, 81, of Mayflower was called to Glory on Nov. 25. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was born in Carnegie, Okla., Jan. 11, 1936 to the late Delmer and Alice Pritchard. Jo Ann was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Mayflower. She was retired from UCA Bookstore. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Carter, Sr, son, Melvin Carter Jr. and her sister, Evelyn Hodges. She is survived by her children Mark (Tammy) Carter of Jacksonville, Terri Carter of Springfield, Mo., and Sharanna Nowicki of Euless, Texas, sister, Mary Nelle (Joe) Bunnell of Salina, Okla. Visitation was held Tuesday, November 28th at Griffin Leggett Conway Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be Wednesday, November 29th at First Baptist Church in Mayflower.
