Marjorie Lou Price, 76, of Fayetteville passed away November 24, 2017 at Fayetteville Health & Rehab. She was born April 22, 1941 and raised in Terre Haute, Ind. After high school graduation Marjorie made her way to California where her first son, Ken, was born. A couple years later she found her true love, Donald Price Sr.; they were married February 23, 1962. For several years they made their home in the Phoenix and Los Angeles areas where Marjorie was an amazing homemaker. Their family continued to grow with three more children: Don Jr, Carol and Jeff. In 1970, Don and Marjorie moved their family to Flippin, Ark. where they owned and operated Margies DX service station. They loved visiting with locals and celebrities as they were the last stop on the way to Bull Shoals Lake. After Don suffered a heart attack they were forced to sell their family business and soon returned to Phoenix. In 1983, they returned to Arkansas and settled in Fayetteville where Marjorie went to work for the airport. She was a very social person and loved working outside the house but her main focus was always on her family. In 1987 Don suffered numerous serious health issues and Marjorie attended to his every need. A short time later she took a position in the catering department at the University of Arkansas. Don and Marjorie were avid football and basketball fans and she loved being part of the Razorback family. A couple decades later Marjorie retired but never gave up her Hogs armchair coaching duties. Marjorie loved traveling, going to bingo and shopping; she didn't care if it was yard sales, the dollar store or Hollywood's famed Rodeo Drive it was all shopping and serious business. She adored spending time with family and friends and was always willing to share her gentle spirit, sense of humor, patience that could not be measured and her love for the Lord. Marjorie was preceded in death by husband Don Price Sr. and son Jeff Price. She will be greatly missed by her children: Ken, Don Jr, Carol and spouses; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Private family services were held at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Beard's Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
