Sandra "Sandy" Vaughn Ferguson, 54, of Bentonville, formerly of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, November 27, 2017, in Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, following a brief illness. Born in Jonesboro, Sandy lived in Jonesboro most of her life before moving to Bentonville in 2013. While living in Jonesboro, she owned and operated Wear It Again Sam Consignment Shop. Sandy worked in the Benton County Public Defender's Office and was a member of the Northwest Assembly of God in Bentonville. She enjoyed going to flea markets, estate sales and generally "Junkin'. Sandy's favorite scripture was Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Vaughn, her mother-in-law, Mildred Craig, and her father-in-law, Bob Ferguson. Survivors include her husband, John Ferguson of the home; mother, Joyce Vaughn of Jonesboro; daughter, Jenna Futrell of Jonesboro; son, Kyle Chase Futrell of Fayetteville; brother and his wife, Steve and Cynde Vaughn of Jonesboro; step-daughter and husband, Alison and Chad Smith of Centerton; step-son and wife, Aaron and Rebecca Ferguson of Bentonville; niece, Jessica Vaughn of Jonesboro; and two step-grandchildren, Jaycee Ferguson and Addison Ferguson, both of Bentonville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Danny Elrod officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until service time in the chapel.
