Mamie Ruth McClellan Taylor, 85, of Cabot took her final journey from this Earth to her heavenly home on Friday, Sept. 29, 2017. She was born on Sept. 27, 1932 in Clarksville, Texas to the late James Howard and Mildred Rose Stoops McClellan. She graduated as Salutatorian of Fuller High School in 1950 and held various office positions before she chose to become a full-time homemaker and office manager for the family business until the retirement of her late husband, William Alvie Taylor. She was a member of McArthur Assembly of God Church and treasured time spent with her family. She is survived by four children: Connie Sue Jones, Phillip (Debbie) Taylor, Stacy (Gloria) Taylor, and Paula Snipes all of Cabot; nine siblings: Carl, Richard, and Thomas McClellan, Ann Moody, and Bonnie Meredith all of Little Rock, Donald McClellan of Cabot, Nancy Taggart of Sheridan, June Vought of Mount Ida, and Kathy Wyllia of Alexander; eight grandchildren: Jerry Wylie, Lance (Kathleen) Witcher, Josh (Tiffinie), Caleb (Jessica), and Alex (Leah) Taylor, Danielle (Trae) Cotner, Megan and Brooklyn Richardson all of Cabot; 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephew, and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dean Taylor; and two brothers: Leo and Kenneth McClellan. Visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. Celebration of life services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. at McArthur Assembly of God Church with Rev. Marc Bateman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander.
