Debra Davis Dardenne, 66, of Pine Bluff passed away peacefully in her home with her loving husband and surrounded by her children and loved ones on Thursday, October 5, 2017. Mrs. Dardenne was born in Pine Bluff on October 15, 1950, a daughter of the late Chalmers Henry and June Hale Davis. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 45 years, Jimmy Dale Dardenne, her two sons, Joseph Chad (Beth) of Kimberling City, Mo. and Jason Matthew (Cassie) of Ashville, N.C., along with six cherished grandchildren: Corbin Matthew, James Chadwick, Ryan Donovan Hale, Taylor Evan, Asher Nelson and Greyson Oliver. Debra is also survived by a brother, Chalmers H. Davis Jr. of White Hall, Ark. and sisters, Donna Beth Timmons of Nashville, Tenn. and Mandy Lee Davis of Sierra Vista, Ariz. She was a 1968 graduate of Altheimer, Ark. She then received her double undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Henderson State University and her Master Degree in Education from Ouachita Baptist. She was a member of the National Education Association and the Arkansas Education Association and was of Methodist faith. She taught Special Education and 1st grade at Dollarway Public Schools and retired after 29 years from teaching in 2001. She was preceded in death by her parents. A graveside service will be Monday, October 9, 2017, 10 a.m., at Flat Bayou Cemetery with Reverend Roger Armstrong officiating by Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. The pallbearers will be Adam Dardenne, John Dardenne, Sam Dardenne, Jimmy Schultz, Dusty Schultz, Gerald Durham, and Jack Jones. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials take the form of contributions to Flat Bayou Cemetery, 3808 North Gilliand Road, Altheimer, Arkansas 72004.
