Lorraine F. Conley, age 94, passed away in Bentonville on October 9, 2017. She was born June 24, 1923 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to George and Mable Luverne Mielke. At her young age, the family moved to Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She graduated from Oskosh High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Jamestown, Jamestown, North Dakota. After graduating, she worked for the U.S. Navy Department in Washington, D.C. during World War II. She married Franklyn "Jeff" Conley in 1946. They resided in Knoxville, Tenn.; Jamestown, N.D.; Waterloo, Iowa; Owatonna, Minn.; and Sioux City, Iowa before moving to Bella Vista, Ark. in 1988. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and enjoyed playing bridge. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Barbara and Robert Wakelee, Seattle, Wash.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Kathleen Conley, Fairbanks, Alaska; and son and daughter-in-law, Patrick and Lisa Conley, Newbury Park, Calif. Survivors also include eleven grand-children and seven great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband of 65 years, Franklyn; daughter, Patricia Mary; sister Lola Henjum of Minneapolis, Minn. Memorial services will be at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Wednesday, October 11 at 10 a.m. with refreshments to follow. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Ark. Donations may be made to St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
