Dorotha Lucille Ball Kirchner

Dorotha Lucille Ball Kirchner, 83, passed from this life October 3rd, 2017 in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the home of her daughter Lisa Yerington with whom she had been living for 3 years. She was born May 8, 1934 in Goodman, MO to Oscar John Ball and Ruby Gail Maxwell Ball as the 5th of 6 siblings. Her husband of 52 years, Virgil A. Kirchner, passed in 2003. Dorotha was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, known for her unconditional love for all. They lived and raised their children on a beautiful family farm near Nichols, Iowa. She and Virgil were members of the Church of Christ. Her children are, Vicky Bridges and her husband Don in Rogers, Ark.; David Kirchner and his wife Brenda in Rock Island, Ill.; Terry Gibson and her husband Ken in Herndon, Va.; Laura Jackson and her husband David in Fayetteville, Ark.; Lisa Yerington and her husband Tim in Albuquerque, N.M. Dorotha was blessed with 11 grandchildren living on both coasts, north and south, along with 13 beautiful great-grandchildren. She has two living sisters, Juanita Woods and Charlotte Jenson, both in Southeast Iowa. There will a celebration of Dorotha's life and a reunion for family and friends back home in Iowa to be announced at a later date.
