Ollie (Sonny) Wright Jr.

Ollie (Sonny) Wright Jr. was born to the late Ollie Wright, Sr. and Velmarie Lawrence Wright on March 30, 1943 in North Little Rock, Ark. He later moved to Oregon with his parent and relocated to NLR, Ark. when he was very young he attended S.A. Jones High School in NLR, Ark. He later relocated to Oakland, Calif., were he was employed with General Motors Corporation from 1965 until 1996 he retired from the Oklahoma General Motor Division. He returned to Arkansas in May, 2009 united with St. Mark Community Church in Jacksonville, Ark. under the leadership of Pastor Al Romes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Velmarie Hackett, and Ollie Wright Sr. He leaves to cherish his memories wife, Sallie Lewis Wright, sons, Dennis Wright, NLR, Ark., Marc Harris, Oakland Calif., brother, Jack Hackett, (Debora) NLR, Ark., sisters, Alma L. Hilliard, Sherwood, Ark., Stephanie Garrett, NLR, Ark.; eight grandchildren, two special aunts, Isabelle Blakeney and Evelyn Johnson of NLR, Ark., two special uncles, Clyde Lawrence Jr. and Ezra Lawrence of Kansas City, Mo.; a host of nephews and nieces, great-nephews and nieces, cousins and many dear friends and church members. Funeral services will be Saturday, Oct. 21st, 11 a.m., at St. Mark Community Church in Jacksonville. Family hour will be Friday, Oct. 20th, from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
