Wilma Jean Grimmett

Wilma Jean Grimmett, age 89, of Benton passed away Sunday October 15, 2017. She was born August 11, 1928 in Saline County. Wilma was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church where she played the piano and was leader of the FIT Group at the Church. She was named Saline County Volunteer of the Year in 2013 and was active worker for CJOHN. he was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ethel Westerman, husband, Curtis Grimmett, brother, Robrt Carrol Westerman, and an infant sister. Survivors, sons, Doug Grimmett (Birdie), and Stanley Grimmett (Deb), daughter, Paula Fought(Terry), three grandchildren, Sam Grimmett, Mason Fought, and Taylor Schwaller, great-grandchild, Keira Grimmett. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church. Minster will be Bro. Roger Glover. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday before the services.
