Nada "Joy" Wilmott

Obituary for Nada "Joy" Wilmott, 77, went peacefully from this life into the loving arms of Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior on the evening of October 15, 2017. Nada Joy was born and raised in Hiwasse, Ark. to her parents Charlie and Grace (Pruitt) Hatcher on August 16, 1940. She went to Hiwasse Elementary and then to Gravette High School. Her dream was to finish her high school diploma before her children began graduating from high school. She completed her GED in 1975. Joy known by her children, children's friends, and many others as Mom or Granny. Joy was a homemaker, seamstress, life companion and caretaker. She enjoyed gardening, fishing camping, feeding her many humming birds, her dogs and chickens, making quilts for family and friends, living the farm life, and most importantly being with her family and friends. Joy was preceded in death by two brothers: Doug Hatcher and J.D. Hatcher both of Gravette, two sisters: Lorene (Hatcher) Nichols of Hiwasse, and Ima Jean (Hatcher) Fairchild of Bentonville, and one daughter Brenda Lea McMillan of Decatur. Joy is survived by her husband, Jack Church, one sister: Betty Smith of Bentonville, two sons: Rusty McMillan (Alicia) of Yamaranguila, Honduras and Dennis McMillan (Tessy) of Rogers, and two daughters, La Vonn Foreman (Danny) of Decatur, and Ronda Vaughan (Kenneth) of Bethel Heights; 10 grandchildren: April (Jason) Edwards, Randy (Allie) Soeung, Staff Sergeant Chris (Abbie) Soeung, Leagha (Bryan) Smith, Erik (Krystal) Soeung, Jeremy (Leigh) Vaughan, Lindsay (Tyler) Garrett, Tessa (Joe)Kelsheimier, Jessica (Charles "Bubba") Jones, and Jack McMillan; great-grandchildren: Celine Soeung, Camille Soeung, Logan Smith, Adrian Jones, Cody Kelsheimer, Hannah Smith, Avery Vaughan, and Ava Jones, and Carter Kelsheimer coming in March. Stepson, Shad (Joni) Church of Hiwasse, Ark. Joy had many friends she also considered family. Funeral arrangements are: Viewing October 20th at Callison-Lough in Bentonville, Ark. from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. (5 p.m. for family), a graveside service, October 21, 12 (Noon) at Mt. Peasant Cemetery in Hiwasse, Ark. and followed by a dinner for family and friends at 2 p.m. at The Church of Christ in Gravette, Ark.
